Staff

Maryann Dennis, Executive Director Ms. Dennis has been the Executive Director of the Housing Fellowship since January 1993. She has extensive experience in working with low-income families and the administration of federal and private funding sources. She currently administers The Housing Fellowship’s HTFJC, CDBG, HOME, and FHLB contracts. Ms. Dennis is a certified Housing Development Finance Professional through the National Development Council. She holds a Masters Degree in Social Work Administration and Social Development from the University of Iowa.

Barbara Bailey, Finance Manager Ms. Bailey joined the staff full time in February 2007 after providing contracted services for 8 years.  She has over 30 years experience with finance management in the non-profit sector and is certified by the National Development Council as a Housing Development Finance Professional.

Tammy Spies, Project Manager Ms. Spies joined THF staff in September 2003 after serving as Office Manager and Estimator of Arena Auto Body for over 12 years. Ms. Spies has been a tenant at the Housing Fellowship since 1993. Ms. Spies holds an Associate of Arts Degree from Ellsworth Community College in Sales Management. She has demonstrated excellent skills in property management practices and public funding compliance issues. She has completed compliance training for federal funds sponsored by the Iowa Department of Economic Development and the Iowa Finance Authority.

Tashundra Marshall, Compliance Specialist Ms. Marshall rejoined THF staff in May 2008. Ms. Marshall was first employed by THF in 2004 as Office Manager, but left in 2005 to join Iowa Department of Human Services as an Income Maintenance Worker where she remained until May 2008. During her time with IA DHS, Ms. Marshall served on the board of The Housing Fellowship. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from University of Iowa in Sociology. Ms. Marshall completed Low Income Tax Credit Training in July 2008. She now holds the designation of Certified Credit Compliance Professional (C3P).

Danielle Chambers, Office Manager Danielle  joined the Housing Fellowship in October 2010. Danielle holds a Bachelor Degree in History from the University of Iowa. She has experience in the real estate industry in both Illinois and Iowa. Prior to that, Danielle worked on various political campaigns.

Ed “Butch” Seydel, Maintenance and Repair Employee Mr. Seydel joined THF in June 1999. Mr. Seydel has well over 30 years of experience in the building trades and facility repair and maintenance.
